I use them with my turntable and they sound great but they are not powered speakers. I have mine connected through a Denon AVR-S520BT receiver, also purchased through Best Buy. The receiver I have does not have phono inputs, so to go through it, I use an external preamp. If you're looking for a direct connection from turntable to speakers I would suggest powered speakers. Also, if you're turntable has a built in preamp, be sure to use it, or use an external preamp if yours doesn't have one. I hope this helps.
