“Do you guys know what chords/receiver/amplifier I should get to connect to my phone or computer? And are they cheap? I don't know much about speaker specifications other than what sounds good. And the products targeted at the young adults sound lousy.”

These speakers u really can't beat for the price. I have 2 pairs and love them. I have a Denon - AVR 700W 5.2-Ch. 4K Ultra HD HDR Compatible A/V Home Theater Receiver and it had a total cost of $280. You can find speakers for about anything that you want to pay for them. I recommend buying the best speakers that you can afford but remember that the speakers can be replaced with higher quality speakers as your income increases.
