Hi WillV, thank you for your question. You need a receiver/amplifier for these speakers to work with your record player. This unit has a rated impedance of 6 omhs. You need to check the specifications of your receiver/amplifier if it matches these speakers. Please take note that matching speakers and subwoofer with lower impedance (ohms) and watts than what the A/V receiver is rated may cause damage to the receiver and is not recommended. They do not have built-in amplifiers, or any wireless (like bluetooth) connectivity, so, to create sound, they need to be wire-connected to a device with an amplifier that has at least a 2-channel (e.g. left and right) amplified output. Your Audio-Technica AT-LP60X also has to be connected to a device with an amplifier to power these speakers, because it only has a pre-amplifier, which will not power wired speakers.
