These are 6 ohm. Your receiver can be configured to each speaker location center, front, surround and subwoofer. You might need to access the owners manual online at www.sony.net/support and enter the model number for your receiver to access the downloadable PDF file which you can save on your device or external storage device. Could also print a copy but make sure you have plenty of paper and ink. The manual for my Denon receiver was over 200 pages so I just saved it on my PC.
