Most receivers these days have HDMI connections for components such as Game Consoles, DVD Players, Satellite Access Television, etc. The speakers will either be Front or Rear. If you have a 7.2 Receiver you can also connect a sub woofer to it and a center speaker. I have the STR-DH740. It's an excellent product. 145 W of power. The only thing I don't like about it is it does have a tape output so my equalizer does not function. Rats!!! But other than that my system is all Sony and I love it.
