By default you will get dark or over-saturated areas when you have high contrast scenes with most cameras. The rx100 has a built-in HDR mode to assist in these high contrast scenarios. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-dynamic-range_imaging Attached is an example when I was in the rainforest at Olympic National Park. One is taken with default settings and another with HDR +/- 3EV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you have the camera on auto or the auto plus it adjust very well to the scene. Or if you are professional on adjusting the aperture and shutter that's easy as well!
