Yes, the Sony RX100 V definitely can capture RAW and JPG images at the same time. That is my preferred option, especially with fast 64 GB SD flash cards being so cheap now. I would strongly recommend an extra battery.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think so but as a professional photographer/ why would I want both at the same time? Eat up your card space faster. Any software like iPhoto can generate a jpeg from your RAW pix in 1 second. The reason to buy this camera (I have all 5) is the huge sensor and on the 5 the much faster focusing. If you whip out your camera for quick pic you'll appreciate the much less out of focus shots w the 5. That's the big difference between 4 and 5. The 4k video isn't much different than 1080p. Nice but not a big visual difference.
