I will be going on an overnight Ghost Hunting expedition on Sat., 11/07, and need a high quality, digital voice recorder that is EASY TO USE...does this voice recorder meet those requirements? My last voice recorder was difficult to use as it had several switches on it, "folders" that were confusing to use, and confusing instructions....overall, an inconvenient item for its price (at $60) and it died after only two years.”

I cannot see a reason why you should fail on this expedition. Try a similar effort before going out where lighting might be a problem. Follow the instructions, and you cannot fail

Olympus screens are larger MAY BE EASIER TO READ. Have tried / tested several sub $100 recorders. If this is really important you should consider professional units in $200-$300 range as they offer more powerful STEREO microphones.
