You can use the voice recognition software Dragon NaturallySpeaking (not supplied) which is compatible with Sound Organizer to perform voice recognition for a file and convert the voice to text.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't tried that. You can download it onto your computer, I know. On the internet I found in my initial search a gadget made by Dragon that had great reviews for taking the words on this type of machine and transcribing directly into a document with "96%" accuracy. Dragon's reviews were excellent and I may spring for one at some point. I haven't yet because I don't need it....yet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also have questions and have not yet purchased a digital recorder. First understand that recorded lecture or music doesn’t become text without additional steps and software. I tried using the “voice memos” on my iPhone to capture lectures with the belief that I could playback the lecture to my computer using the “dictation/speech” software. Apparently the dictation software is same used for voice texting that often incorrectly translates. When I used the dictation software it could not keep up, it lagged behind struggling to understand and find words in a data base. From my brief experience any dictation software will be unable to keep up with normal speech. My question is can the recorded speech on a digital recorder be slowed down enough to allow dictation software to work. The only other option is to listen to the digital recording, pausing to repeat a few lines to assure that the dictation software translates completely and correctly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think so. When I've recorded speaking, I've transcribed the text myself.
