- Answer You can set the VOR (Voice Operated Recording) function to “ON,” to make the IC recorder start recording when the IC recorder detects sound, and pause when no sound is heard, eliminating recording during soundless periods.

- Answer You can use the voice recognition software Dragon NaturallySpeaking (not supplied) which is compatible with Sound Organizer to perform voice recognition for a file and convert the voice to text.

- Answer Hello Doug, thank you for your message. 4 GB of available internal flash memory provides ample space for recording life’s important moments-up to 1,073 hours in fact. You can use microSD/microSDHC memory cards with the IC recorder. (However, microSDXC cards are not supported.) Due to the file system specifications of the IC recorder, you can record and play back an LPCM file smaller than 2 GB (ICD-UX533/UX533F/UX534F only), and an MP3/WMA/AAC-LC file smaller than 1 GB using a microSD card. QuestionSpecifications for this model says built in rechargeable battery and then it also states battery AAA. My question is, does it have both options?Regarding Model Sony ICD UX 533 BLK voice recorder. So, in addition to my question here, one can also opt to use the AAA battery instead?

- Answer Yes, it has both options. The package includes a rechargeable AAA battery. But, you can also just place a regular AAA in it.

- Answer Select Menu. Scroll to VOD. Turn it on. Adjust Mic Sensativity as needed. Press Rec. BTW....the Help Instructions for this recorder online are much more detailed than the guide in the packaging.

- Answer Hi Dan, Every recording will be automatically saved to the recorder and you can play them back anytime you want. There's no search feature for a specific file but there's an EASY SEARCH feature locate the point at which you wish to start playback. - Answer Hi Dan, This specific recorder doesn't have VOICE OPERATED RECORDING feature. We recommend the Sony ICD-UX560. This has the Voice Operated Recording, however, it doesn't support searching older recordings via voice. Thanks, >Joffrey

- Answer I've used it while singing within a barbershop chorus and it allowed me to be heard better than I expected and also allowed me to here the other voice parts to help me blend within the chorus. I've also been able to record the other three parts with little or no interference hearing everything.

- Answer You cannot, for some reason SONY took this feature out, which is as old as tape recorders. Pretty simple to do most people want to do it on the fly, that means talk play back and keep recording not have to spend hour on software merging files together. I am in the process of taking back the 370 right now because of this. and trying to find the older model like the ones you mentioned. i still cant believe they would do that.
