“Class of memory card? Microphone Cord Length, Brand, Stereo? 1. I've downloaded the pdf manual for this product, which mentions several brands of memory cards and sizes that were tested. The manual does not mention the class of the memory cards used; i.e., class 4, 6, 10 and so forth. The higher the class the faster the transfer rate of the card. Placing too slow of a card in a device will bog down the device or make the device not work. Using a higher class of card than is needed is a waste of money as the card is limited to the transfer rate of the device. 2. The manual says that this unit will record in stereo if a stereo microphone is used. Will this run the batteries down a lot sooner, forcing the use of of a microphone with its own battery? I'd rather use standard rechargeable batteries such as AAA to power the unit and a microphone as opposed to having to use a separate battery in the microphone as replacing the small round lithium batteries that are typically used in the microphone will cost a lot of $ over time. 3. Is there a length limit to the microphone cord? 4. What other brands or models of stereo microphones are recommended? I am not sure the Sony models mentioned in the manual are suitable.
