There is no Set distance for how far away you can be to capture voice. sound recordings will vary depending on, volume and pitch of the person talking, acoustics and environment as well as interference from background noises. The ICDBX112 will detect the sound of pressing buttons on the device or by movement while handling the recorder , however once the ICDBX112 is recording no sound is produced by the recorder to interfere with your subject.
