• A:Answer The ICDBX112 recorded files cannot be transfer or save in the computer. The digital voice recorder has no USB port for connecting to a computer.

• A:Answer There is no Set distance for how far away you can be to capture voice. sound recordings will vary depending on, volume and pitch of the person talking, acoustics and environment as well as interference from background noises. The ICDBX112 will detect the sound of pressing buttons on the device or by movement while handling the recorder , however once the ICDBX112 is recording no sound is produced by the recorder to interfere with your subject.

• A:Answer Sets the VOR (Voice Operated Recording) function to ON under Menu Settings. Recording starts when the IC recorder detects sound and pauses when no sound is heard, eliminating recording during soundless periods. The VOR function is activated when [ REC/PAUSE] is pressed.

• A:Answer The maximum recording for the ICDBX112 Digital Voice Recorder is 22 hours for SHQ mode, 33 hours for HQ mode, 89 hours for SP mode and 534 hours for LP mode. The Battery life is as follows: 34 hours during recording, 12 hours playback using the speaker and 36 hours playback with headphones.

• A:Answer Yes, the Sony ICDBX112 Digital Voice Recorder has the feature to play an audio recording repeatedly in a loop over an over. Press and hold the PLAY/STOP•ENTER button during playback until the “Repeat” icon (U type Arrow) appears to enable the Repeat mode in the Sony Digital Voice Recorder. The selected message will be played back repeatedly.

• A:Answer sound would be muffled. it would be suggested to use an external microphone if you plan on concealing your voice recorder. The ICDBX112 does accept an external microphone and features Voice-operated recording to conserve storage space by eliminating soundless passages.

• A:Answer Yes this digital recorder saves your recordings internally as MP3s, however to transfer to another device, such as your Macintosh . use a 3.5mm cord (sold separately) to connect the Headphones Jack of the voice recorder to the Line in jack or mic jack of your computer and press play on the recorder after you start the record feature on your computer.

• A:Answer This recorder does not have any option to change the recording speed, but there's an option for changing the playback speed. The playback speed is adjusted in DPC. Q: QuestionCan the alarm loop repeatedly or can I set more than one alarm?I am doing self-hypnosis during sleep and I need the device to loop the recording when the alarm goes off or I must at least be able to set multiple alarms throughout the night. Much appreciated!

• A:Answer The Alarm cannot be looped in the Sony ICDBX112 Digital Voice Recorder. You can set multiple Alarms; however, only one alarm can be set for each one message. Therefore, if you want the same message to sound for each alarm, you may have to create multiple copies of the same message for each of them.

Q: QuestionCan I erase recordings to save spaceIf it holds only 536 hours of recording, can I continue to erase past recordings to keep using it?

• A:Answer Yes, the previously recorded Voice files can be erased or deleted from the Sony ICDBX112 Digital Voice Recorder. When a message is erased, the remaining messages will advance and be renumbered so that there will be no space between messages. Perform the following steps to erase the message that you want. 1. Select the message you want to erase when the Sony Recorder is in the stop or playback mode. 2. Press the ERASE button while you are playing back the message you want to erase, or press and hold the ERASE button during the stop mode. A beep (if it is set to ON in the menu) will sound and the message number and “ERASE” will flash. 3. Press the ERASE button again. “ERASE” will appear in the display window and the selected message will be erased.
