I have the iPad mini 2, and I uploaded my photos from the memory card using an adapter that I purchased from Apple. It worked great. The photos looked so good that I was very pleasantly surprised.

Not sure. This is an option to send them to your phone but I haven't tried that one yet. I know for a fact that you can view them on your wifi enabled tv. And this works great.
