Does this DVD player have a display face? I have it hooked up and playing a disc, but the display is blank...?? null

No.. Just standard display light just to indicate on or off.

No display that I know of. Only a light to let you know it's "ON". But it does seem to turn itself off automatically after a certain time..... which is good.

It did have a display face with the time and counter, showing where I was at in the movie, but it stopped working after quite some time (months/a year?). Also, some of the buttons on the controller stopped working (due to normal use) and that was the final straw. I got tired of getting up and manually pushing the buttons on the player. I never bothered trying to figure out why the face stopped working because I wanted a new player anyway that was a combo blu-ray/dvd. I do miss the counter and clock on the face though.
