I am not sure why you are having a problem. I use the red and white cord to inputs on my sound system (also red white) while the yellow chord carries the video to my tv screen. If you have a tv with out those inputs I can see why you have an issue. The other sound output is a digital orange connector. Some sound systems and tv may have this but it is a rare ly used connector.
