Consult your television manual for the way it receives external input, such as a DVD player. Some older TV's may have you select channel 03, others may have you select AUX 1 or AUX 2 on the keypad. Yet others may have a digital menu that allows you to select input under a heading of DVD player.

You have to connect the yellow, white, & red Video/Audio cables from the DVD player into the AV/Input connections on your TV set. This is because this DVD player does not have a HDMI output connection. But the good news is, because you're using the audio/video cables, the HDMI inputs on your TV set are free to be used for something else, like Roku!
