Hi Bill, you can buy 62mm filters for the FDRAX53. As for the remote, we suggest the RMVPR1 wireless IR remote. Thanks_Mitch

If you have a smart phone you have a remote. Other wise I don't know if Sony makes a remote. Over the years of using a CC I have never used one. Your other question I don't under stand. What do you mean by "glad" or "sub shield"??
