“if you start and stop recording and start back will it pickup where you stopped”

Hi tdoldschool, Sony's commitment to customer satisfaction is our top priority. The camcorder stops recording completely and create a video clip once you hit the stop button. It does not pickup where you stopped. However, it will create a new video clip once you hit start again. Thank you so much for your question.
