“How can you see what you are recording OR figure out what the camera is specifically pointed at? Is there a screen somewhere or you must pay 150.00 to get the live view thing?”

Hi Cautious, To see the recording live without the Live View Remote, you may connect a smartphone via a Wi-Fi connection or use the live streaming feature of the camcorder.
