This unit is indeed wireless if you want to miror your android phone or media player to it. Only works with android though not IOS unless you have an Apple TV hooked to the hdmi inputs. If you wanted wireless hdmi Sony sells that as optional equipment, but you'd be better off using another model from best buys at a lot less cost. Both options do degrade the quality and I would never suggest using wireless. You have to plug the projector into the wall, so why not run your hdmi cable to your player or cable box on the same path.
