The mounting brackets are included inside the box but I did not use them
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just bought this soundbar to pair with my 77" a80j. Yes, it does wall mount, but it takes a little effort. For some reason, the two furnished mounting brackets connect to the bar with a 30 1/2 " spacing. It is unlikely your studs will line up with this measurement. What I ended up doing is going down to Lowes and buying a couple of 2" high by 3' long by 3/16" thick steel bars. (I believe it was that thick) Make sure to get steel and not aluminum. I had to use 2 20" pieces for my application. Measure your studs and drill two holes per stud in the bar. I countersunk the holes so my tapered head screws were flush. I also was able to attach one of the brackets directly into a stud. For the other bracket, I drilled a hole just big enough to make threads with a heavy duty metal screw. I then attached the other bracket to that hole. It worked great. Good and solid. One note- you need to add a 1/2" high by 2" wide piece underneath each bracket because the bracket extends past the 2" high bar. I just drilled a single hole and attached these to the wall with a drywall screw.

See page 15 onwards from this link for more details: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/5024/5659b66a5e586a0461ad841f0bc654b6/50248331M.pdf NOTE: Make sure to use the supplied wall mounting brackets when mounting the bar speaker on a wall. Do not mount the bar speaker on a wall directly. The temperature inside the bar speaker rises considerably, and it may cause damage or malfunction. Regards, David
