“I have the Sony XBR-75X940D, which I purchased in 2016. I know this soundbar will work with this TV...but will it be capable of producing true Dolby Atmos, given that the TV is older? Or will there be some kind of loss or subtle decline in sound quality?”

Hi SV, Thank you so much for your inquiry. The TV will work with the HTA7000. For the Dolby Atmos unfortunately, no. The speaker system is compatible with eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel). eARC is a new function standardized by HDMI2.1 and supports latest audio formats in addition to audio formats that are supported with existing ARC (Audio Return Channel). You can enjoy object audio content, such as Dolby Atmos - Dolby TrueHD and DTS:X or multi-channel LPCM content that cannot be transmitted with ARC by connecting the speaker system and TV compatible with eARC using an HDMI cable.
