Hello Aggie, Thank you for your inquiry and for being a Sony HT-ST5000 owner. Regarding your question, unfortunately, no. The subwoofer of the HT-ST5000 will not work with the HT-A7000. The HT-A7000 7.1.2ch Dolby Atmos®/ DTS: X® Soundbar will only work with one of the following wireless subwoofers: • SASW3 - 200 W of sound from a compact bass reflex subwoofer with a 160 mm driver. • SASW5 - 300 W of deep, rich bass from a 180 mm driver with a passive radiator. To learn more about the specifications and features, please check out our support website. The HT-A7000 features our premium audio technologies such as Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force Pro Front Surround, you feel like you are not only in a sphere of sound, but inside the movie itself. To ensure that you will be getting the most out of the HT-A7000, toggle on the "Immersive AE" remote button to upscale the entire audio system's performance. Additionally, make sure to run Sound Field Optimization so that the soundbar can calibrate its performance to your environment, and that it sounds like it was engineered to be in your room. I hope you find this information to be helpful and thanks again for your question! - Romeo
