I would say not much. The sw5 is more punchy at higher volume.

Thank you for being a Sony HT-A7000 owner, and for your interest on the compatible optional subwoofers and rears accessories. Regarding the compatible subwoofers, the big difference between the two is the total power output. Please refer to the below:

• SASW3 - 200 W of sound from a compact bass reflex subwoofer with a 160 mm driver.
• SASW5 - 300 W of deep, rich bass from a 180 mm driver with a passive radiator.
