For optimal sound the highest you can set the speakers is at head-level. You will still get great sound regardless, but you will be able to tell were the sound is coming from instead of being all around you which defeats the purpose of the spacial sound mapping.

If you are referring to the Dolby Atmos of the HTA9, the ideal ceiling height should be between 7.5 and 12 feet to enjoy the best listening experience for Dolby Atmos.
