“I would be limited to mounting the front speakers at 7 feet high and the rears at 9 feet. Will the system perform well at these speaker heights? Thanks”

For optimal sound the highest you can set the speakers is at head-level. You will still get great sound regardless, but you will be able to tell were the sound is coming from instead of being all around you which defeats the purpose of the spacial sound mapping.
