“I have an LG CX & have the earc option on on both my tv & the HT-A9. When I check the hdmi 2 label it shows as arc, not earc but can play Dolby vision/atmos on tv app. Is earc active?”

I have a Bravia and LG 7.1 eARC Soundbar in one of the room. The TV & LG Sound have eARC but the display LED shows ARC when switching to Atmos content, Bluetooth. No issue on movies and any streaming content. Seems like an LG labeling thing? Bravia to HT-A9 works seamless.

If you have an eARC enabled device connected to the HT-A9, you can manually set the HT-A9 to HDMI eARC using the remote of the soundbar. Please go to Settings > HDMI Settings > eARC Set this function when the speaker system is connected to a TV’s HDMI IN jack that is compatible with eARC. When connecting to a TV compatible with ARC (not compatible with eARC), the ARC function works regardless of this setting. I hope this helps! Regards, Carl
