Thank you so much for the question, JohnB. Absolutely, yes! You can output the TVs sound to the HT-A9 by connecting the HDMI ARC/eARC port of the TV to the HDMI out ARC/eARC (Audio Return Channel/Enhanced Audio Return Channel) port of the system. You can also hear the sound of the connected device (PlayStation) on the HDMI input port of the TV to the system. Additionally, you can enable the Control for HDMI function (“BRAVIA” Sync) of our HT-A9. This enables you to interlock the speaker system operation such as power on/off or volume adjustment with your TV remote control. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So long as you have the receiver connected in the ARC HDMI port and you have the tv setting to external speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, just use the TV’s HDMI output into the base unit of the HTA9. This is exactly why the ARC tech is as developed - Audio Return Channel
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I have a PlayStation connected to my TV along with a cable box and a Fire stick. Any device that is connected to the TV will broadcast out of the speakers. You can also listen to music via the bluetooth from a cell phone over these speakers. They are easy to use and set up and sound great.
