“I use projector instead of a TV, which is 15 feet across the room. In the setup video for the HT-A9, it says to place the control box close to the TV. Can I place it next to projector instead or will that cause problems? Maybe relocate box after setup?”

I don’t see any reason it has to be near the projector screen. The only thing limiting the distance would be the length of the hdmi cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think the placement of the box NEAR the TV is just for the purposes of hooking it up to the TV, for usage of it as a center channel...Since you wont be utilizing that feature, I think its a moot point, as far as box location...
