- Answer The system uses a center phantom speaker, it really works, there’s no need for a Sony tv just for this.

QuestionI'm curious do all owners of this system experience sound drop outs? I've been reading a lot of reviews and posts in forums and I am not reassured that this system is solid. Please respond if you own the system and are having a positive experience with it

QuestionWill this system work on an LG projector that has an hdmi arc port?

- Answer Hi Nick, Thank you for your inquiry. If your projector supports HDMI ARC then yes, you can connect a TV/projector that has an HDMI input jack with an HDMI cable. The speaker system is compatible with both eARC and ARC. ARC is the function that sends TV sound to an AV device such as the speaker system from the TV’s HDMI jack. eARC is an extension of ARC and enables transmission of the object audio and multi-channel LPCM content that cannot be transmitted with ARC. QuestionWhat is the Ethernet connection for? Is it better than using WiFi? Can I use a power line adapter to run an ethernet cable? Can firmware be updated using WiFi or ethernet connection?

- Answer Depends on your WiFi, in most cases a hard wire connection is better but if you have good Wi Fi you won't need it. Your WiFi may be faster than a power line adapter. I have mine connected by WiFi and it works great. It will update either way as long as you are connected to the internet.

QuestionWhat speak stand will support these speakers? Does it have mounting capabilities on the bottom of the speaker as well - besides the back.

- Answer Hi dyzfnctional, thank you for your inquiry. Any general speaker stands that support the following dimensions and weight will work with our HT-A9. It does have mounting holes at the back, but there is no bottom mounting holes. Dimensions (approx.) (w/h/d): 150 mm × 52 mm × 150 mm (6 in × 2 1/8 in × 6 in) Mass (approx.): 730 g (1 lb 10 oz) Additional information: The HT-A9 features a wall mount hole for wall mounting and a mounting hole for the general speaker stand. When using the wall mounting hole or mounting hole for the general speaker stand, peel off the cover on them with a safety pin, etc. We also recommend visiting your local retailer to find a speaker stand that meets the size of these speakers and your stylistic preferences. QuestionIt has now been several months since the HT-A9 has become unavailable. What the heck is going on? Has Sony taken it off the market permanently. THIS IS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING.
