“Why is the sound better through my streaming apps than when watching cable TV? There is a noticeable difference is the performance when I switch from watching cable and then going on Netflix or Disney+ as an example.”

If you look carefully, some streaming apps offer Dolby Atmos on certain movies, shows etc and when that kicks in it will display and you'll not just hear but feel the difference
