Dawnie, Sony is going to tell you to update the firmware to the sound bar. As a former user of this soundbar, I will suggest simply returning it for something better. If your experience is anything like mine, the sub is working, it just does not make enough sound to be heard. it is not in the settings, it just is very quiet to non existent.
