I have 2 of these Sony HT S350 sound bars and they work and sound good. One is on a Sony 800 series 2yrs old and this model connects with a optical and HDMI cable and the other is a Sony 950 series and connects with only a HDMI cable. On the sound bar remote you can set the base volume I found these settings in the instructions
