“On this model, there is an HDMI arc connection output. But there are no HDMI inputs. So I have to ask, what good is the arc if you can't hook up accessories though the sound bar? Wouldn't the optical connection be the same thing?”

Hi sarge, Thanks for your inquiry. Thanks for your inquiry. The HDMI ARC port of the soundbar allows you to enjoy the control for HDMI features when connected to an HDMI ARC compatible TV. The optical connection does the same thing as the HDMI ARC connection without the benefits of the control for HDMI features. Hope this helps! -Sam
