“how do u set up your tv remote/cable remote to control the sound bar. i do have a sony bravia tv i recently purchased. Best but geek squad set my system up in florida but i wasn' p aying attention. when i use my cable remote all three systems turn on.”

Hi cheech, Thank you for purchasing the HT-Z9F Soundbar. Connecting a device such as a TV or Bluray Disc player compatible with the Control for HDMI function by an HDMI cable enables you to easily operate the device by a TV remote control. If you enable the Control for HDMI(“BRAVIA” sync) function when using a TV manufactured by Sony, the Control for HDMI function of the system is also enabled automatically. When the [Control for HDMI] settings are changed to [On], “DONE” appears in the front panel display. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your Sony TV will look for and control your sound bar and any other Sony product connect to your set. I have Dish and when I turn the Dish hopper on my tv and sound bar comes on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Go to settings on your Sony TV. Then select Watching TV, scroll down to External inputs and select Bravia Sync settings. Once in the sync settings choose Bravia sync device list. There you should see all the devices connect to your TV. Just select enable and you're done.
