• IT DOESN'T HUM. AT LEAST MIE DOESN'T. IF YOURS HUM, IT MAY BE BECAUSE YOU HAVE IT SITTING ON SOMETHING THAT CARRIES SOUND. PUT YOUR CLOCK ON A FLAT SINGLE SURFACE. NO GARAUNTEE, BUT IT MAY HELP.

• take it back as it must defective and exchange it for a new one. Mine never buzzes. Nice and quiet until the alarm comes on, which starts at low volume and gradually gets louder until the button is pushed to turn off.
