• A:Answer If you are talking about the ever-present electrical hum — it’s low but constantly there and annoying. I could hear it from anywhere in the bedroom. Otherwise I liked everything about the clock—it simplicity, small size, decent reception, mellow orange color time display (with 2 brightness levels) that on low didn’t light up the bedroom at night. But sadly, because of the constant hum, I returned it. Tried 2 different clocks in case it was a fluke. But it happened with both.

It came with the battery already installed & needing only activation; a sheet of folded paper with instructions; an electric power cord that plugs into the wall; and another sheet of folded paper filled with tiny type itemizing the limits on the Sony warranty.
