“Is the wire harness that attaches to the back of the unit the same as older sony models so that i can simply remove the old one i have and replace it with this one without any additional wiring?”

• I had a Sony CD deck some years ago and the harness for the older model definitely had different dimensions (more width and less height) which would keep it from plugging into the back of a newer model deck.
