- Answer That really depends on your level of installation. It has been done, just disconnect the battery so the the oem unit doesn't short out. There's a few videos on YouTube that will show you.

QuestionI have an old SONY am/fm CD radio that is about 14 years old. Is the wiring harness plug in on the back the same as this new one? Would make installation super simple.

- Answer The Stereo I replaced did not have the same wiring harness. if the harness you have is bigger than about an inch, it won't be. (I had a GT570UP)
