“On Playstation's website, it says the release date for this controller is 6/11/2021, but on Best Buy, it says 6/18/2021. Why does it take an extra week for Best Buy?”

It’s says 6/18 for all retailers. This was probably a decision by Sony to release a full week before 3rd party retailers on their website to drive business to themselves.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I ordered mine from ps direct which states “guaranteed delivery on release date” and I got my package today. Best Buy has the same release but they don’t ship it until the day of release. I live in Denver and there is no Best Buy that has these available to pick up so they are shipped from warehouses. These did sell out on ps direct.
