• No. All you need is Wifi. It gives you access to almost all the games. You have to get the premium package without the console. It's $49.99

• Yes and no. Let me explain yes if you want to remote play from your PS5 without the subscription. Or no you don't need a PS5 to play games in the portal but you will need to purchase a subscription monthly.
