Stores usually have pre orders in stock before release date... So as others have said you should be able to get it on release day.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Typically, it should be available for pick-up the day it comes out. I have pre-ordered multiple consoles and typically always choose the pick-up option, and was able to pick it up the opening of release date (10am is what it is down here in IL). When you pick "store pick-up" for the pre-order, it should let you know the date it will be available.
