Yes, this has a mic but it's ok at best and picks up everything in the room. The main purpose of the camera is to have a face cam for streaming or the odd PS move game which have fallen to the wayside with the Nintendo switch. I would greatly encourage you to go with a headset instead its a must-have for any gamer, and the Kingston Hyperx Cloud 2s have been my daily headset now for years and are a rock-solid choice at 79$ on sale right now on amazon.
