Top of tv is what Sony recommends. Pretty simple too.

Please try again later.First off, the camera has a 6.5ft cable that will attach to directly your PS4 using a proprietary connector (it can't connect to anything but a PS4) so you need to factor that in as for some people it may limit the options of where the camera can mount. With that factored, for VR game play I would suggest putting it somewhere roughly eye level while sitting, or slightly above. The mount that comes with the camera appears to be designed for a flat surface, I would be worried about mounting it on top of a TV personally, plus I would imagine it makes it tougher to adjust the camera to your position (you'll need to be pretty much perfectly centered when playing VR games)

The weight of the camera and the rigid chord might require some anchoring when placing upright on a flat surface.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It has a mount that's made of some kind of grippy rubber. The mount is flexible and can be manipulated to sit on the top of a flat screen, even if it's very thin, as well as to sit flat on an entertainment center. Hope this helps

It can be set up to grip the top of a tv or to stand on the base angled up or down as much as you like. Theoretically, you can set up the camera almost anywhere you like, as long as it's in reach of the ps4 for its cable, and that you are situated in its space when using the PSVR.
