Yes, it does. The rewind button is located on the left side of the play/resume button. While playing, just press and hold the rewind button to rewind the recorded file.

Yes, this unit can also be used for that purpose, but normally we wouldn't advise you to do that. The speaker on this IC Recorder is excellent for playing Voice sound but not that great for playing music. Hope this helps! Regards, Sam
