A copy of the Sony SRF-M85W Walkman |SKU:8692453 operating instructions and marketing specifications can be downloaded in Adobe PDF Document format in the Support section (Online Product Support, Manuals, Specs, & Warranty subsection) of the www.SonyStyle.com website. I recommend that you have the latest version of Adobe Reader installed on your computer for this download request for maximum viewing and printing compatibility. Make sure to enter the correct model number of this unit to obtain the product support document that you are seeking. To set the clock, make sure to press the Display button as many times as necessary to enter the clock mode. Next, Press the Tune/Time set +/- buttons as many times as needed to adjust the hour up or down one digit at a time until the hour setting is correct. Press the Enter button once to confirm the correct hour and now the flashing minutes indicator will appear in the LCD. An audible beep can also be heard so that you can begin to adjust the minutes setting. Once again, press the Tune/Time set +/- buttons as many times as needed to adjust the minutes to the current time. Press the Enter button again to confirm that the time is now correct. Additionally, the clock starts to run as soon as two audible beeps occur immediately after the minutes are set. Please note that continuous presses or holding of the Tune/Time set controls advances the hour or minute digits rapidly until you stop pressing the buttons. The system clock is displayed in a 12-hour time format system. The Sony SRF-M85W Walkman can store up to 25 stations in memory (15 FM Band Stereo presets, 5 AM Band Stations presets, and 5 NOAA Weather Band station presets). To store stations into memory you must take the following steps: 1. Make sure that the Sony Walkman is powered on. 2. Make sure that stereo headphones are connected to this unit. 3. Press the Band button to select AM, FM, or WB for the broadcast band that you seek to program stations in. 4. Press the Tune/Time set +/- controls to locate the station frequency that you are looking for. 5. Make sure the volume is turned up to a sufficient level so that you can hear the particular station selected. 6. Press and hold the Enter button until the desired preset number flashes. Press the Tune/Time set +/- controls to select the preset number of your choice that you want to store the station on. Press the Enter button to confirm the new preset station number. You must repeat the programming steps as many times as necessary to fill all available preset station numbers in their respective broadcast bands. Manual preset tuning mode can’t take placed if the “P” Preset mode indicator appears in the LCD. The Mode button must be pressed once to remove the “P” indicator from the LCD to enter the preset tuning mode, if desired. Please note that you can delete a preset station if desired. Personally, I recommend that you use a high-performance Duracell Coppertop or Energizer Max alkaline or Energizer advanced long-life lithium AAA battery for maximum performance from this unit for daily portable audio usage. The operating instructions for this product are included in the product packaging at the time of purchase. Good Luck.
