Thanks for your question. No, the XB23 does not support USB A playback. It is a Bluetooth only model. If you want to play music, you can use your smartphone and connect it via Bluetooth connection.
Note: The USB Type-C port is exclusively for charging only, and is not compatible with music playback.
The XB33 and XB43 have a standard USB A port, and a USB Type-C port. The standard USB A port is there to charge your device, and not for music playback either.
Our new X-Series range of speakers, XG500, XP500, and XP700 are a lot bigger than the XB23. They do have a standard USB A port that can play audio files. Hope this helps!
