• The Sony receiver remote will lower and raise the volume as needed, if your TV remote has CEC and it is turned on while plugged into the EArc hdmi you can even use your TV remote.

• Um yes the remote has a volume button and if you're feeling frisky you can also turn that big ole knob right there on the receiver.
