A:AnswerHi moto,
It will work as long as the speakers are within a nominal impedance of 6 ohms to 16 ohms. Lower than 6 or higher than 16 ohms will not work.

A:AnswerIt does. But it is not a switch. It is more of a “mode” that you can change from 2CH/Movie/Music/Night settings. This triggers different combinations of your front/surround/center/sub speakers as needed.
A:AnswerNo it does not have an operating system to run smart TVs apps such as Netflix or YouTube. You would also need a smart device like a bluray player or Roku.

A:AnswerYes, if you decide to hook up a second subwoofer later remember to do the easy calibration again because the unit only calibrates speakers/subwoofers that are attached at the time it's calibrated. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerNo, you can attach any source of your choice. You will need to connect it to the tv to see the on-screen display in order to calibrate the speakers, after that you can disconnect it from the TV.
A:AnswerHi Boiler,
Yes, with the correct speaker pattern and connection the AV receiver should output 5.1 audio on any applications on an HDMI source.

David
A:AnswerConnect TV HDMI output to HDMI ARC input of receiver and FireWire to another HDMI input. HDMI ARC input basically provides Video output from other channels like connected FieWire , etc to TV when those channels selected on the receiver. When ARC channel is selected only audio from TV is returned to the receiver. So that you can watch TV, FireWire or other AV sources video on the TV and audio on receiver and optionally on TV
A:AnswerIt comes with wireless remote. You should be able to control by keeping the unit inside a cabinet with IR remote extension. IR extension will not come with the unit.
A:AnswerHi MikeM,
Unfortunately, the STRDH590 doesn't support zone function so you cannot use two different audio systems. We recommend our STRDN1080.
Happy to help,
David.
