• Yes, you can still watch DVDs, Blu-Rays without a WiFi connection. That is if you are actually putting a disk in the tray. If you want to stream a movie you will need to be hard wired or use WiFi.

• Yes. The wifi is for apps and updates. Movies will still play without wifi
